Scott Grayson

Attorney & Founder

Good enough doesn’t cut it when it comes to your future.

Hi, I’m Scott Grayson, founder of Grayson Law. I’m a lawyer, but I’m not your typical lawyer. Sure, I have a background in information technology and civil rights. And I worked for the federal government for 10 years. My analytical skills and attention to detail are the foundation on which I can provide you with top-level legal services, whether it’s a will, trust, power of attorney, or a new business startup. But that’s not what makes me different.

I founded Grayson Law to provide quality legal services to everyone. One of my foundational principles is that legal support shouldn’t only be available to the wealthy, especially in a society that’s growing more complex every day.

My philosophy is what makes me stand apart from the other legal providers. Unlike those other yahoo lawyers, I’m comfortable admitting that I have a problem with authority. I don’t like anyone telling me how to live or what I should think or say. That includes some government bureaucrat or judge deciding who gets what from my estate or decides on my medical treatment in the situation I can’t decide for myself.

In fact, after working for the government for 10 years, I can’t think of anything worse than letting some bureaucratic blow-hole make those kinds of decisions for me.

Why any of this is good for you is simply this: I like helping people forge their own path. That means making sure people you trust are in charge if you become incapacitated. Or seeing to it that the estate you spent a lifetime building goes to your heirs the way you want or helping you build a business that carries you to independence. No matter what, I’m dedicated to helping you.

And, I’m also willing to admit that I’m in it for the money. But honestly, that’s secondary to the whole authority thing from above.

But, that’s not all (sounds like a late-night infomercial – “But wait, there’s more!”). I’m a small, single attorney practice. That means you’re not paying excessive fees to cover the rent on a fancy downtown office, expensive parking spaces, and extravagant conference room tables. And I’m not going to push you into a one-size-fits-all solution to quickly move you through the big law client-churn-machine as quick as possible and collect my fee. Those places can be a little-like a high-priced version of Legal Zoom, except someone might shake your hand.

Good enough doesn’t cut it when it comes to your incapacity, estate, or business. Those are your future, so I’ll do it right, or I won’t do it.

Everyone’s case is a little different. I’ll take the time to learn what you really need and make sure you get it. Even if that means I must occasionally say, “I don’t know. Let me get back to you on that.” I’m not going to tell you I can do something that’s beyond my expertise. Honestly, how many lawyers do you know that are willing to admit they don’t know something?

You can expect personalized attention and the effort necessary to provide you with the best legal service possible. Best of all, with me, you won’t pay for frivolous work hours, but you’ll get the best quality legal service available.
